My ninety-five year-old grandma, Great-Grandma, moved out of her house and into a nursing home shortly before Christmas. She's rather confused about most everything ... but remarkably cheerful nonetheless. This photo was taken before Great-Grandma was even a grandma ... back when she was a young mother ...
I was looking at it on the wall ... and Great-Grandma told me to take it down ... so I did. And the kids wanted to see it up close too. The passing of years even gave Foofie pause ... as she considered how Grandpa used to be that little boy in the arms of a Great-Grandpa she never knew ...
And Great-Grandma wanted to see Foofie up close :) She asked Foofie if she is "acquainted with large numbers" :) Foofie said yes :)
She told Ezzie he was such a doll ... "a male doll" she clarified ... and ... "you're just the top of the ... the top of the ... I'm losing my starch ... let's say ... the top of ... the ... list!" And then to me, "I bet you just get a big bang out of them!" Sometimes I do ;)
