a little beachy

During our stay at Hajo's we squeezed in a trip to the beach ...
After this shot, Halo and Buddy went out a bit ...
So I took some pictures of the younger two and then stowed the camera.
Testing the waters ...
Oops! I'm out too far and the water is coming to get me ...
Beachy bliss ...
I'm going to grab two fistfuls of wet sand ...
and enjoy watching gravity work :) And then do it a couple dozen more times ...
Oooh! Look what I found!
What is this thing??? I'm not so sure I like holding this ...
Here, you take it Foofie ...
Making memories ...
holding Daddy's hand :)
Well, that wraps it up. We'll see if I can come up with anything to blog about during April ... I feel a dry spell coming on ...

a little house with a pool

So ... we rented a house from Hajo ... and Foofie made a "flag" for him ♥
We played some tennis ... these two were taking a break ...
And we played LOTS of badminton -- in the pool! It is tremendous fun!!! Rave-worthy :) We were trying to figure out what to call it ... poolminton maybe???
Little Honey lined up his vehicles ...
about twice a day :)
He drove them on the "rollercoaster" ...
and occasionally he crashed for a bit ;)
Halo made muffins {for her first time} ...
These two pretended they were on a seahorse ...
Or ... they skooched all around the perimeter and pretended it was a "monorail" :)
I ♥ when they get along so swimmingly :)
We had a dance party ...
Honestly ... this was not posed ... this was a live candid shot :)
Buddy turned ten ...
and we ordered pizza for his birthday supper :)
We played LOTS of bananagrams ... Foofie was too busy to smile ...
So much fun! Has anyone ever played with the apple set or pear set??? I wonder what they are like ...
And this girl ...
can really actually swim now :) Yeah!
Two little mudges ...
were waiting for lunch ...
and for friends to arrive :)

Little Honey said "hi" to the plastic flamingos :)
Then it was time to hit the road and we said farewell to our lovely vacation spot ...
Oh, and here's the proof that I was there :)

a little video by Halo

After Disney ... we headed down south a few hours to enjoy some rest and togetherness at a house we rented :) Here's Little Shirtless sitting at the kitchen table ...

Although Ezzie has been told -- probably several times -- that God made him and that God is the Creator ... the response here was his own and not prompted :)

a little epcot

The last stop on our Disney journey was the Epcot theme park. It has some rides ... but is probably more widely remembered for its architecture ... its replications of various countries from around the globe. Like this building ... Isn't this about the cutest little cottage-like domain you have ever laid eyes on???
Some of us are pausing by Nemo and company ...
Little Honey-Bun looking sweet ...
Oh, where is our stroller? Oh, where is our stroller? Oh where, oh where, oh where, oh where ... is our stroller???
As aforesaid ... Mickey is on everything ...
Then we happened upon Belle ... is that who this is???
Daddy, Buddy, and I just went on a space ride ... and then Daddy exited with barf bag in hand ... and pretended to actually need the barf bag. This family on the bench was laughing at Daddy ... and at me too, I think ... as I was trying to turn on the camera and catch up to him to get a picture ... as you can see, I was a bit slow ... because if I didn't explain all this you wouldn't know what this picture is about :)
Photo shoot with Mickey and Pluto ...
We had supper in Germany ;) This is Jeff's plate ... mine looked a bit different :) A bit less German ...
After supper, we went on a crazy Norwegian boat ride ... it was kind-of fun ... especially the part that went backwards ... but F.Y.I. the ride has a scary troll monster that some of my children did not enjoy :( Following the ride, however, they did enjoy donning some Norwegian gear ...
A Norwegian Foofie ...
Epcot has fireworks {with accompaniment} every night ... but this is the first time we stayed to see them.

Here's my rundown on the rides ...

Top 3:
Soarin {a simulated hang-gliding type experience}
The Land {interesting boat ride about advances in agriculture/gardening}
some ride about history {can't recall the name}

So-So 3:
Nemo
Space Ride {reminder for myself to skip this next time}
Test Track {skip this one next time too}

And I believe this is the end our of Disney journey :)

Mom and Dad ... perhaps you will almost feel like you've been there now
:)
